Islamabad : Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz has said that the US has assured Pakistan of not conducting any drone strikes during talks with the Taliban, say media reports.
During the meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Aziz said that the US had been informed that talks with the Taliban had been hampered after Hakimullah Mehsud was killed in the drone strike.
Aziz added that Pakistan had informed the US not to attack the Taliban during the dialogue process.
